Back from a much needed break. We drove 6 hours from San Diego to Prescott in Arizona to visit a dear friend. She moved with her husband and daughter after both retired. They now live in this beautiful and relaxing home with an amazing view that reminded me of the Swiss Alps.
We had such a good time as they showed us around town and introduced us to their friends. The six days we spent with them were great with homemade food & wine. That or we went eating out at local restaurants recommended by her. We took a lot of photos! It was so incredible and fun to see snow again!! How I’d missed the feeling of snow falling on my skin. Just being there was wonderful.
We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at her brother’s house with his family as his wife prepared the most amazing meal with a beautiful table setting.
Everything was perfect. We talked and laughed and told stories together. Desert time with homemade pies and hot coffee just topped it all off.
I’m so grateful for moments and friends like that.
